During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the City of Youngstown unveiled their Business Stabilization Program, which provided grant funds to eligible local small businesses to assist with operating costs associated with reduced profits as a result of the pandemic. The program was intended to ensure that the valued local businesses in Youngstown would be able to remain in business and to minimize layoffs of Youngstown residents.
I designed handouts with eligibility and application information to be distributed to businesses that may be eligible for funds from the program. I was provided the information and needed to write the content in an easy-to-understand format. Additionally, the document needed to adhere to the City of Youngstown’s strict branding standards and remain consistent with other similar marketing materials used by the city.
